Waitlists

We will notify you by mail when you reach the top of the waitlist.

Check your application status

Update your information

Make sure to keep your information up to date while you are on the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist you must notify us if any of the following changes. 

  • Mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Gross monthly income
  • Family composition

You can update your information: 

The U.S. Postal Service will not forward CDA mail. You will be removed from the waitlist if any of your mail is returned as undeliverable. You may reapply if the waitlist is open at that time. 

Estimated wait times

The CDA does not provide emergency or immediate housing. Wait times vary. Vacancies and HUD funding may also affect wait times.

There is no requirement to live in the City of Madison. However, we give preference to City of Madison residents. You will need to verify your residency to receive this preference.
