Third-Party Housing

Privately Managed Properties

In addition to Public Housing, the CDA offers affordable housing options for individuals and families that are within the Area Medium Income (AMI) limits, and the residents pay an affordable rent based on the bedroom size. Many of the properties were developed through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and provide a number of units with Section 8 Project-Based Voucher (PBV) assistance.

Subsidized Housing Opportunities

The CDA is committed to providing affordable housing options with a range of subsidized rental housing opportunities available throughout the City of Madison. Similar to the qualifications for Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) programs, these units are subsidized with Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers. The properties are owned and managed by private entities.
