  • Special Event Traffic Impacts

    Saturday, April 25 will be very busy downtown. In addition to the Dane County Farmers' Market, the annual Crazylegs Classic and the annual Mifflin Street Block Party will be taking place.

  • South Broom Street Closure Update

    North Shore Drive is now fully reopened to traffic. Beginning on Thursday, April 23 at 5:00 a.m., South Broom Street will fully close between West Wilson Street and John Nolen Drive. 

  • Amtrak Public Meeting

    Amtrak is hosting a virtual meeting on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. to gain public input on their proposed extension of the Hiawatha Service from Milwaukee to Madison.

  • South Broom Street Closure

    Beginning Monday, April 6, southbound South Broom Street will close to traffic, between West Wilson Street and John Nolen Drive, as part of the next phase of the John Nolen Drive reconstruction project.

  • Downtown Plan Open House and Survey

    You're invited to an Envision Downtown Madison Open House on Thursday, April 30 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Madison Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. This public event will be jointly held by the City and DMI.

  • Downtown Poll Workers Needed

    The City of Madison is in need of poll workers (election officials) for the April 7 Spring Election. The City needs more poll workers to staff polling places downtown and throughout the city.

  • Madison Early Voting Information

    Interested voters are encouraged to act now to vote absentee for the Tuesday, April 7 Spring Election.

  • Westbound North Shore Drive Closure

    Starting Monday, March 23, westbound North Shore Drive will close between John Nolen Drive and South Bedford Street for reconstruction work as part of the John Nolen Drive reconstruction project.

  • Snow Emergency Parking Rules Continue Tonight

    A snow emergency remains in effect for the entire City of Madison until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18. Residents are asked to keep their vehicles off the street tonight if possible.

  • Madison Snow Emergency Declared

    The City of Madison has declared a snow emergency. This means alternate side parking restrictions will be in effect in the downtown snow emergency zone as well as the rest of the City of Madison.
